A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

ANNUAL REPORT. The annual report to be presented to members at the annual meeting on Saturday next is as follows: The Show, held on 2nd and 3rd Deember, 1914, was a record for the Association.* The entries showed a very large increase over past shows, while the standard of excellence in all classess was well maintained. The thanks of ihe Association are due to all exhibitors. We feel sure from the expression of thanks from exhibitors for the attention and hospitality extended to them that the Association can depend on a continuation of support from them. The grounds and buildings have been well cared for during the year. Your executive, in order to provide more paddocks for exhibitors’ stock, have sudivided the paddocks, making in all five paddocks, thus enabling all stock to be kept on the Show Grounds during Show time, and the expression of thanks from the exhibitors showed that the improvements made were greatly appreciated. The fences have all been attended to and are in good order. The grounds have been again leased for a period of 12 months at a rental of £45 per annum. A new brick chimney lias been erected for the convenience of the caterer, in this connection, much needed improvements are required. At a meeting held by the General Committee, the following recommendation was ordered to be placed in the annual report: (1) That the annual report contain a recommendation to remove the Peoples’ Stand alongside the Members’ Stand, when funds permit. The membership now stands at 78ti. and unpaid subscriptions amount to £197 8s Od. Your Committee wish to place on record its appreciation of the large number of members who are fighting or have volunteered for service at the Front. They feel that the great sacrifice these members are making for the cause of freedom and in the interests of our Empire, the Association should keep these members good on the books till their return. The Executive urges upon you to do your utmost to secure new members, as they are the backbone of the Association, and without a large increase of membership, the Association will be unable to carry out much needed improvements. The Gymkhana, held on Easter Monday, was again a great success, and a profit of £GO 7s was made (£7 15 s was donated to the Belgian Relief Fund), which, considering the various other attractions that were taking place that day, must be considered satisfactory. Your committee recommend that a band contest *md other novelties should be included in next years’ programame, and feel that with these added events, a most successful gathering is assured. Your committee wish to place on record its appreciation of the help and voluntary assistance rendered by the members of the Asosciation, especially at the annual Show. Without this help tin* Shows could not be made the success they are without a large expenditure in labour. Thanks are also due to donators of special prizes, judges, exhibitors, the Press, and all those who in any way helped to make the various gatherings of the Association the success they were. You are required to elect a President, four vicePresidents, and a General Committee of twenty at the annual meeting, which is to be held in the Foresters’ Hall on Saturday, 12th June.
