THE ISLAND BAY MYSTERY. Pee Press Association. Wellington, Juno 1. The dotul body of the man found floating in the sea near Island Bay on Saturday last has been identified as that ol' John William Ralph, aged ,aboat oO years, who rented a room in Walter Street. Deceased was in receipt of a weekly remittance from a brother in Australia. He had no relations in New Zealand. LUNATIC'S SUICIDE. Wellington, June 2. A young man named George Mitchell, a mental patient at the Porirua Asylum, committed suicide by hanging himself. At the inquest evidence was given that Mitchell was a quiet patient with no suicidal tendencies. He was left for a few minutes, and he went to a lavatory, where he was afterwards found suspended by a strap.
