NORTH TARANAKI HUNT.
OPENING MEET AT WAITARA. The opening moot of tho North Taranaki Hunt Club was hold at Mr L. Binding's Waitara, .yesterday- afternoon. Tho Nows reports that tho muster was good, an included Messrs A. H. Ha loom b (master) on Larakau, 8., H. Ciiainoy (deputy master) on Warea, L. C. Jennings (deputy master) on Laddie, E. Mason (deputy master) on Kiri, W . Colo on The Lim:t. K. Bepporel (whip) on tho Czar, N. Pepperel (huntsman) on Buster’s Button, J. Cole on Uriti, W. Hookham on Otaroa, Miss Vickers, Miss Tayior, Messrs .10. Book, C. Xelson, and numerous other gentlemen. There were not many runs. Considering that it was tho opening hunt, the fencing was good. During the course of the afternoon a couple of spills occurred, but neither victim sustained injury. At the conclusion of tho day’s sport the Master thanked Mr Girdling and other property owners for kindly granting permission to hunt over their property. The next meet takes place at Mr L. Connett’s property at Bell Block on Thursday next.
