MORE POWER TO THE DEFENCE AUTHORITIES. United Press Association. .Melbourne, April 22. Mr Pearce (Minister of Defence) introduced a Senate Bill to amend the War Precautions Act, giving .the defence authorities more stringent powers, Amongst other tilings it gives 1 power to requisition any factories, workshops, or their output for munition supplies. \\ here a court-martial . proves that the offence was committed with the intention of assisting the I enemy the offender shall be liable to I the death penalty.
