MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
j Nominations closed at noon to-day for the offices of Mayor and Councilj lors of the Borough of Stratford, and also for two members to represent the Borough on the Stratford Hospital and Charitable Aid Board. As will he ( seen by the list of nominations, the j only election required will he for the | mayoralty, just enough nominations j being handed in for the Borough | Council and Hospital Board. The Council as now constituted contains only one member of the late Council, Mr J. H. Thompson. It is underi stood that Mr Fredric’s nomination 1 paper arrived at the Borough offices just too late. Very little interest was taken in the nominations, the attendance of the general public at the Fire Station being very meagre. For the Hospital Board, for which two members were required the two retiring members. Messrs Sole and McAllister. At five minutes to noon the list was one short of the required number, and Mr A. J.
