SOCIETY FOR HEALTH OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
A meeting oi the committee of the Society tor the Health oi Women and Children (Plnnket Society), was held on Wth .March, when Nurse Colly’s re port of iier six mouths’ work was read, showing that she has 02 hnhies on her hook's, one Inning lelt the district, hut will he under the Plnnket nurse in Christchurch. Nurse, lias paid 1(3! visits to patients’ homes, and the mothers have paid 01 visits to the nurse at rooms. Besides this, one very distressing ease was brought bycur nurse under the notice oi the Charitable Aid Board —a family of live children under live years of age, all neglected and half starved. They have been helped, and their condition has slightly improved. Sundry accounts were passed for payment and the list of donors to the Stratford Branch was read as follows: —.Messrs Ceo.
