DOG TRIALS.

Tiie Annual meeting of the Ohnra Sheep Dog Trial Club was concluded on Thursday. The following are the results:—

Class 1. Opei|. Heading, Driving and Yarding. First prize, cup valued at 40 guineas, must bo won three times in succession or five times at intervals, and?, cash £7, second £3, third £l. Goldfinch’s “Kitty” 1, Rolfe’s “Lady Chief” 2, Cleland’s “Floss” 3, McAvady’s “Fly” 4. Class 2, Open. Huntaway. First orize £4 and Mr Jno. McGinley’s pedal value 1 Is, second £3, third £l. Risk’s “Don” 1, Beddie’s ‘Bell” 2, Stewart’s “Rough” 3.

Class 3, / Open. Heading, Bring Back and Holding. First prize £5, second £2, third £l. Rolfe’s “Lady Chief,” total 37, 1, Goldfinch’s “Fly” 2, McAvady’s “Fly’-’ 3. Goldfinch’s “Kitty” 4.

Class 4, Open. Heading, ' Bring Back and Holding. First prize Mr Hagensen’s special cash prize £5, second Mr Chapman’s cash prize £2, third £l. McAvady’s “Fly” 1, Cleland’s “Floss” 2. Goldfinch’s “Kitty” 3, Goldfinch’s “Fly” 4.

The following competitors succeeded in securing special prizes:-

Best stylo of working dog, Mr Goldfinch, Gunson and Co.’s gold medal.

Maiden dog, class 3, Mr Rolfe, John Cobb’s special prize.

Maiden dog, class 4, Mr Goldfinch, Laidbnv-Leeds’ special.

Youngest competitor, Mr.F, Pearce, Percy Goldfinch’s special. Best local dog under command, any class, Mr J. Risk, .P, Goldfinch’s special. v A smoke concert was hold on the evening of the 18th, there being a very large attendance. The decisions of the judge, Mr H. Lambert, were never questioned. It would not bp fair to allow the splendid services of the secretary, Mr B. Cox, to go without mention.
