Butter.—The market is firm at an advance with good demand for Colonial. "Danish 138 sto 140 s, New Zealand !34s to 1365, exceptionally good 138 s, Australian 130 s to 1345, exceptionally j;ood 1355, Siberian 128 s to 1355, Argentine 128 s to 130 s. Cheese.—The market is firm at advance with moderate demand by the trade. On account large quantities required for the Government, spot market bare, Canadian white and colored 12s to 945, New Zealand white and •olored 90s to 925, exceptionally good ')3s, Australian 86s to 88, States 84s ,o 90s. It is estimated the Canadian cheese stocks at London, Liverpool, md Bristol on the Ist March, were 78,000 boxes, against 96,000 at the fame time last year. New Zealand md Australian cheese stocks on Ist March at London and Bristol were 14,700 crates, against 35,700 at the same time last year.
Hemp.—The market is steady withnit animation. New Zealand goodfair grade £'3l, fair £29, fair current la-me prices. Tbe output from Manila or the week was 14,000 bales. Wheat.—The market is weak and ''(active, buyers holding, hack. Cana-lian-American any position 60s, Argentine February-April 595.
Oats,—The market is qniefc with a tendency i>> favour of buyers. Argentine February-April 295. Wool.—The sales closed with a. trong market, which was excited. Largo business is doing because the supply fell short of demand. The •Ritlook is very encouraging, and pre. •sent rates are likely to be maintained. The present prices of medium and ■oarse crosshreds of all grades are Higher than for forty years. The estimated values of fine erossbreds of all grades 16d to 18d, medium erossbreds II grades 15d to I7d, coarse erossbreds ill grades 14d to 18d, superior morion 1 Id to 16d, medium 12d to 14d, inferior 9d to 11. kl.
