MASONIC.
ST. JOHN'S LODCE, ELTHAM. The annual installation ceremonies in connection with the above Lodge was held on Tuesday night in the Masoic Temple, and there was an attendance Of nearly 80 Freemasons. The Argus reports: With all due ceremony. Br. J. H. Bleakiey was. duly installed by Prov. CM. Bro. Sargent, assisted by Grand Lodge officers, as W.M. of the Lodge for the ensuing year. The ancient and imposing ceremonies of the craft were conducted with precision and accuracy, Bro. .). W. Stubbs making a very efficient Director of Ceremonies. That veteran Freemason, Wor. Bro. T. E. Hainerton, P.G.D., was present and gave valuable assistance during the ceremony, as also did other visiting brethren. The following • are the Lodge officers for the current year: 1.P.M., Bro. Lightbourne; S.W., Bro. J. L. Weir"; J.W.. Bro. Rogers; Chaplain, Bro. Hansen; Treasurer, Bro. J. Phillips; Secretary, Bro. A. A. Stewart; D.C., Bro. 11. J. Carter; S.D. Bro. King; 1.G.. Bro. Pratt; S.S., Bro. P. de Launay; J.S., Bro. Symnians; Tyler, Bro. C. B. Martin;,"Organist. Bro. Dent. After the ceremony of installation had been concluded an adjournment was made to the Oddfellows' Hall, where the Brethren sat down to an excellent repast, set out very nicely by Mrs Brooking, of Stratford, and with songs and speeches the time was passed very pleasantly until a. few minutes after midnight.
