ANOTHER EFFORT TO BATTER THROUGH TO WARSAW. [By Electric Telegraph—CopyrightJ United Press Association. (Received 8.40 a.in.) Amsteerdara, January 4. It is suggested that the 200,000 Germans who passed through Cologne eastward will reinforce General Hindenhurg, preparatory to another great effort to batter through to Warsaw. GERMAN HIGH-HANDEDNESS. (Received 8.50 a.m.) Amsterdam, January 4. The German commandant of the village of Overpelt has summoned the Belgians for 1914, 1915, and 1916 to find levies for incorporation in the German army. The Germans have taken the wellknown bronze gates at the Antwerp railway station for use in the manufacture of cannon.
A GERMAN ADMISSION. STEINBACH IN THE HANDS OF THE FRENCH. (Received 8.40 a.m.) Amsterdam, January t. A German communique, after denying, now admits the French have taken Steinbach, and adds that the French captured the German positions on the heights west of Sennheim, which tno Germans have since re-taken. DIRIGIBLE SHEDS AT BRUSSELS BOMBED, (Received 8.50 a.m.) Amsterdam, January 4. French aviators bombed and partially destroyed the new dirigible sheds at Brussels on Saturday. Several German soldiers were killed.
