ACRES OF FLAX DESTROYED. » . _____— Pek Pbess. Association. Carterton, January 4. A second fire in the flax plantation at Toogood's Longbush mill happened last evening. Aided by a strong wind, the fire soon spread, and in a very little time practically the whole 400 acres were destroyed. It is estimated the loss will amount to £20,000.
