Longworth won the New South Wales half-mile swimming championship of New South Wales in llmin 30sec. 100YDS WORLD'S RECORD. Kohamamoku won the 100yds championship of New South Wales, in 53 4-sseconds—a world's record. (Kohamamoku and M. Daniels, U.S.A., held the previous best record of 55 2-ssec.) A GREAT DISPLAY. (Received 9.5 a.m.) ;, Sydney, January. 4. Kahanamoku's was a great display. Pitted against Cunha Barry, Longworth, Page, Stedman, and Barry, though he got the worst of the start he was almost on even terms when half the distance had heen covered: The winner then livened up and finished two yards ahead of Cunha, who just beat Barry. Cunha's time was 55 l-ssec.
