THE PHILIPPINES.
A NATIVE UPRISING.

Press * despatches report a serious native uprising in the Philippines. Details are lacking. The State Department wired the commander of the troops for particulars. The Department points out that it is unlikely that the natives could take the Government by surprise, owing to the efficiency of the American secret seryice. A large number of arrests have been reported.
