A child named lan McLeod, fou years of age, was choked through swal lowing a paper cigarette-holder. Deatl occurred in a few minutes.

Douglas Bromwell, 16 years of age, met with a serious shooting accident at Baton on Christmas Day. While mustering sheep, he prodded osie with the butt of a repeater rifle, which went off, the bullet lodging in Bromwell’s groin. The injured lad was removed to the Nelson Hospital. The extent of his injuries has not yet been ascertained.
