Tii viuni and Vanua Levu are believed to have sustained little damage by the severe gale. At Rewa, nine Indians were drowned. At Levuka a light hurricane was experienced, but the town was not damaged. Shipping suffered. Several -cutters and thejsteamer Ripple are ashore at Levuka The auxiliary schooner Confian/.a is ashore at Namena, sftid the Cutter Tuilevuke is a total wreck at Wakaya reef. Her crew was saved?
The Penang sugar estate lost 250; tons of sugar in .punts,, and 300 tpnjs in sheds were damaged.
