Wellington, November 18. • At the Supreme Court, John Ryan was convicted of receiving £25 in money and a silver watch from a woman, knowing the articles were dishonestly obtained. He was remanded for sentence. ;*' Auckland, November 18. At the Supreme Court, Montague Mann, who had stolen a horse valued at £SO, and saddle and bridle at Te Aroha, was sentenced to a period of reformative treatment not exceeding twelve months.
