Lieut. Furby spent the week-end in Stratford on leave, returning south to Palmerston this morning.
Miss Gaskell, captain of the English ladies’ hockey team, has received word of the serious illness of her father, and intended (states the Press Association) to leave immediately for England, but has now decided to await further advice.
