(Bvr Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Pres* Association.] (Received 8.40 a.m.) Vancouver, June %iA citizens’ public meeting emphatically expressed its unalterable opposition to Oriental immigration and passed a resolution strongly urging upon the Dominion Government the necessity of supporting the efforts of the immigration 'authorities which have been undertaken towards the rejection of the immigrants aboard the steamer Komagata Maru and their immediate deportation, and that stringent legislation be enacted whereby such immigrants will be entirely restricted from admission to the Dominion. PROTEST FROM ENGLAND. London .June 24. Meetings of Indians at Caxton Hal! protested that the non-admission of Indians to Canada was striking at the very root of unity of the Empire, and carried a resolution suggesting the prohibition of Canadians in India.
