AFTERNOON SHIFT TROUBLE.
I By, Eleotbio Telegbaph—Copybight] [United Press Association.] Newcastle, Juno 22. The Wallarah miners have given a fortnight's notice that they will not work the afternoon shift unless paid extra. (Received 8.55 a.m.) Sydney, June 23. In connection with the afternoon shift trouble, the .Government obtained an injunction against the officials of the Stamford and Merthyr Miners' Lodge, restraining them from the instigation of the employees to strike. Tho Government is determined that steps be taken to deal with tho matter, which must not be flouted by the men striking.
