London, June 17, Mr Roosev< lectured before a brilliant gathering of the Royal Geographical Society on his travels in Brazil. He claimed that he placed th© Duvida, or river of doubt, on the map, as Speke, Grant and Baker had put the Upper Nile on the map. The Duvida was not surveyed, but had been located by astronomical observations. Mr Roosevelt did not mention Mr Savage Landor.
