Advice from . the trainer states that McCalmont scratched Tetracii for the Derby owing to injury to his leg. (Received 10.45 a.m.) London, May 13. Rumours of Tetrarch’s threatened lameness, consequent on scratching, caused a great sensation because of his betting price and his being unbeaten in seven races. He hif himself while at exorcise and the leg has been fired without result. Ho was heavily backed last night. Many back-., ers in 1913 have insured themselves against breakdown, and Lloyds and the underwriters lost heavily. The “Evening News” states that before the Champagne Stakes at Doncaster Tetrarch’s tendency to hit himself behind the near fore knee when going at full stretch had such serious results that he was not allowed to •tart in the Kcmpton Produce Stakes.
