A FENCE AND A CUN. Gisborne, May 4. Eru Woodbine Johnson was accidentally shot at Patutalu on Saturday evening. He had only returned from England a few days ago. He was getting through a fence, when his grun exploded, the charge penetrating his heart. FATAL FALL FROM A TRAM. Christchurch, May 4. Lumsden Sherrif, a retired farmer, of Lower Riccarton, was killed in the city on Saturday through falling oft' x tram. At the inquest a verdict of accidental death was returned.
