SIR IAN HAMILTON.

ARRIVAL AT BLUFF. £Pik'Pbm* Association.] Invercargill, April 27. General Hamilton arrived at BlulT by the Moeraki this morning. He was met by General Godley and the Mayor of Bluff. After an inspection of the bodyguard, General Hamilton said it was tlie fjrst time ho had come into contact with New Zealand troops since the war in South Africa, where they rendered distinguished service. As a Colonel in the Gordon Highlanders and being now a Colonel in the Camerons ho was very pleased to see tho tartan. He felt there was a likeness to the Old Country when he looked upon tartans and saw the cut of men comprising the bodyguard. The party reached town at eleven o’clock. An inspection of cadets was then held. -The weather was line, and there was a splendid turnout.
