HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. [Peb Press/Association.] N Wellington, April 27. The High Commissioner’s market .report, dated London, April 25th, states inter alia:— Butter.—The market is quiet hut rather steadier. _ Danish (firm demand) 114 s to 116 s, New Zealand (Fair demand) 106 s to 108 s, unsalted ills to 118 s, Australian 100 s to 104 s, exceptionally choice 108 s, Argentine (market slow) 98s to 102 s, Siberian (in poor demand) 99s to 102 s, American creameries 98s to 100 s. Cheese.—The market is firmer with fair demand for New Zealand. The Canadian market is quiet. White 68s to 70s, coloured 69s to 71s, New Zealand white 61s 6d to 625, coloured 64s to 64s 6d, Australian white 5Ss 6d to 60s, coloured 62s to 635. Wool.—The market is firm with a hardening tendency. For merinos, fine crossbreds, all grades, the prospects are favourable.
