A correspondent in a German newspaper warns liis countrymen against engaging in hasty emigration. He states that London offers a splendid scope for criminals and swindlers, but is often unkind to respectable foreigners seeking employment, who are reduced to begging. A beggar college at East End sold lists of charitable Germans at threepence a name.
