There was an exciting finish. Each player for ten Visits indulged in safety play, Stevenson totalling thirty-four and Reece ninety-five. Both were nervous, and missed several easy shots. Reece, on the eleventh visit, ran out. He fluked at 89-17, when he missed a loser and pocketed the red, the first time. Reece met Setvenson on level terms. The scores were: Reece 9000, Stevenson 8885.
