[Per Press Association.] Dargaville, March 13. There is a serious outbreak of tyr phoid here. Three men were brought to the local hospital on Wednesday 'suffering from the dreaded epidemic. One of the sufferers, Schiska, died yesterday morning. Auother is not; expected to recover. The cases arej from the bush. . •
Rain is badly needed throughout
the district. Feed is short, and the milk supply at the factories is decreasing rapidjy. Stock are suffering badly.
