The Prime Minister (Mr Holman), speaking at the Australian Natives' Association luncheon, said the problem of the Pacific was a big order. They must always look on the Pacific, with an anxious eye, and with a broad view, as the problem itself was fraught with tremendous importance to this part of the Empire. He doubted whether any I country in the world could rival the achievements of Australia. Could any other country say it iiad built up wealth amounting to 1250 millions? Mr Fisher, leader of the Opposition, said he never had any other view but that the Pacific should belong to Australia.

Mr Moir said: they should he willing to take up a determined attitude as to the control of the Pacific, and say it must be dominated by the British race.
