The weather is line but warm for the opening day of tho Wellington Racing Club's summer meeting. The attendance is large and the track in excellent order. Results:— Trentham Welter, of llOsovs., one mile.—Counsel 1," Sir Donald 2, Amity 3. Scratched: Belasco. Won by a length, with half a length between second and third. Counsel took charge early in the race .and was never headed. Time, lmin 42 3-osee_.
Nursery Handicap, of 400sovs., live. furlongs.—Reputation 1, Honesty 2, Pariform 3. Scratched: Fabrikoff, Hushabye, Miraculous. Won by two lengths, a length between second and thiM. Reputation came with a great rush and overtook the leaders just on the finish. Time, lmin 2soe. Anniversary Welter, of 300sovs., one mile.—Glenfinnan 1, Red Rook 2, Imagination 3. All started. Glenfinnan came to the front in the straight and won by naif a length, with half a head between second and third. Time, lmin 42 2-ssec.
