BURNT TO DEATH.

Mereaini Teroro Taohi, a .Maori woman, aged 70/ was, burned to doaui at Kaihu on .Monday, and her wharo was also demolished. She was in the habit of leaving a J*g lire burning when she went to bed, and it is surmised the log rolled from the hearth, setting fire to the bed, which was near the fireplace. A verdict of accidental death was returned at the inquest.

FARMER'S DEATH
