TO-DAY’S PRIZE-GIVING.

AT THE STRATFORD SCHOOL.

The annual-prize-giving in connection with the Stratford School was held this afternoon.

Proceedings commenced with a presentation to live of the infant school teachers wiioare leaving the school, the ceremony taking place in the iiu fant room. Mr Skoglund, Chairman of the School Committee, made the presentation, there being also present Messrs Fookes and Jackson, members of the committee.

Mr Fookes then presented the prizes :o the infant classes.

The senior prizes were presented from the front steps by Mr Skoglund, the children being , drawn up before the -building. 1 Mr ’Skoglund congratulated the school on the excellent work done during the year, and called for cheers for the duxes.’ * 1 The duxes are the youngest members of their )pid "thef' ftktifiofss of the cheers given showed that the award of the prizes was exceedingly popular.
