Alfred Shrubb defeated Henri Strives, of France, in a ten miles race at Sydney, Nova Scotia. Shr abb's time was 51min Jsec. (Shrubb, as an amateur, held all the records from two to ten miles. His record for ten miles is 50min 40 35 V sec.) FOOTBALL.
