WOOD—WARD.

The marriage of: Miss Eileen Josephine Ward, only daughter of the Rs. Hon Sir' Joseph Ward and Lady Ward, with Mr Bernal'S Bedingfield Wood, son of Mr and Mrs Win. Wood, of Christchurch, took place yesterday at the Basilica, Hill Street, Wellington. The ceremony was performed by Archbishop Redwood, assisted by the Rev. Father Hickson. The Basilica was beautifully decorated with lilies ,anc pink roses. The bride looked beautiful in a gown of ivory crepe de chine, brocaded in a design of true lovers' and roses. The bodice was draped with shadow lace, and a full court train of ivory duchesse satin completed the gown. < A tulle veil was arranged over a wreath of orange blossoms and shoes of silver brocade were worn. Her bouquet was of white lilies and roses. Master I. Ward, son of Mr and Mrs Cyril Ward, was page boy. The bridesmaids wore Miss Mina Wood, cousin of the bride ; Miss Henderson, also a cousin] Miss Wood, sister of the bridegroom; Miss Mary Jones, and Miss Elsie Watson; and their frocks were of rosepink crepe dt chine with frills of rose net and draped bodices. Their hats were of black tulle and they’ carried bouquets ol roses. Mr T. E. A. Seddon, M.l ~ was the best man. After the ceieimny a reception was held at Eccle.r ten, the residence of Mrs R. J. Seddon, a t Guilders’ Hill. Toasts were proposed by the Prime Minister, the Hon. R H. Rhodes, Mr G. W. Russell, M.P.. and others. Many valuable presents were received, including gifts from the Government anti members of ParliaI ment.
