MOTOR ACCIDENT.

LEVEL RAILWAY CROSSING.

Auckland, December 2

Cyril Bridges and Thomas J. Sheehan were driving a motor milk van from town when they were run down by a train at a level crossing in Kewnlarket. The van was smashed to matchwood. Bridges sustained, a broken leg and other injuries. Sheehan has a broken arm and severe scalp and face wounds. Both were removed to the hospital, but the injuries are not regarded as likely to prove fatal. The accident occurred at a very dangerous place, where the approaching trains are not visible until the person is within'a very short distance. It is stated that the whistle was blown and Bridges and Sheehan evidently did not hear it. ..... .....
