TATTERSALL’S TICKETS.
DUNEDIN CtfARCSTS 'bTSMISSED. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] Dunedin, December 2. Mr Widdopson, S.M., delivered his reserved Judgment in the cases against Joseph Isaacs, tobacconist, who was charged with selling Tattersalls’ tickets. The S.M. dismissed the information. He' held that the evidence was insufficient to support the charge of assisting in conducting a lottery. As to the information for disposing of tickets, that had not been proved. Defendant was agent for Tattersalls. The evidence showed that defendant was the purchasers’ agent rather than the sellers’. To constitute the defendant’s shop a gaming house, more than a single act by the user must be established. All the informations would be dismissed-
