AUCKLAND CRIME.
LONG SENTENCE PRISONERS.

At the Supreme Court Arthur Nicholson was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment for attempted wife murder. Ronald Duncan was sentenced to seven years for rape of- a girl he had taken for a trip in a motor cai. In the former case the judge expressed sympathy with prisoner, who was deserted by his wife without giving any reason.
