HAWERA SPRING SHOW.
* A SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITION. The annual show of the Egmont A. and P. Association was opened at Hawera yesterday under rather unfavourable weather conditions. Xew buildings have been provided to shelter stock and these were very much appreciated yesterday. There is a big show of dairy cattle and over half of the cows and heifers on exhibition are ot the Jersey breed. In the male classes a good showing is made by Ayrshire* and Holsteins, though "the females in these breeds are not numerous.
The dog section is especially strong 'flie bulk of the slice]) entered \ver< if the Romney Marsh breed. Pigs were not a large section. Following are some of the awards:—
