THE MINING DISASTER.
FAINT HOPE OF RESCUE. A WOMAN'S AFFLICTION. (Received 1.30 p.m.) London, October 14. The, rescuers only penetrated fifty yards into the west side where the fire is raging. The entombed men are two miles farther in. Only the faintest hopss are entertained of their safety. One woman lias her husband, four sous, and three brothers entombed.
