After evidence of the circumstances under which the nurse witnesses were dismissed from Dr. Hamilton's employment, the jury stopped the case in which Dr. Hamilton is charged with wllipping patients.

Medical students carried Dr. Hamilton shoulder-high through the Old Bailey to the street, singing "For He's a Jolly Good Fellow."

At the Old Bailey, London, on the Bth inst., the trial commenced of Dr. Henry Thomas Hamilton, of Essex House, Barnes, S.W., on charges of whipping two certified lunatics—Miss Mary Ethelreda Hay-Coghlan and Miss Ellen W. Hiekson —entrusted to his care.
