TARANAKI WOOL. SKIN, HIDE AND TALLOW SALES. Mr. Newton King’s Report. (hi Tuesday, July 29th, I held 1113 usual foui weekly sale of above pro duc-c, the catalogue comprising 22 bales and 121 sacks wool, 2391 sheep skins, 983 hides, 13 casks and 70 ting tallow, 270 calfskins, besides the usual quantity of hair, tails, etc. Owing to the unsettled state of the market and the recent fall in values, there was not a large attendance of buyers, and competition was not so keen for wool and skins. Wool.—ln sympathy with the drop in other markets, crutchings were easier to an extent of fully one penny, in fact, all wools showed a like decline. Sheepskins.—Consequent on the drop in the London market these wore easier, and showed a decline of l£d, in some cases being oven lower.
