Kuhn have been forced into the hands of the receivers owing to the failure of the first-named to open its doors yesterday morning. (Received 12.55 p.m.) There is no excitement over the Pittsburg bank failure. The run on the Savings Bank continues. There is plenty of cash and assets. The affair is not thought to be serious.

DEEP-SEA TRAWLING. In consequence of Australia's experience, the Uruguayan Government has ordered a deep-sea trawler similar to the Endeavour to investigate the fisheries off the River Plate.
