V GENERAL NOTES. The Maori team which has just concluded a tour in Australia is at present negotiating with the Taranaki Union for a match on July 9th or 10th. The secretary of the Taranaki Rugby Union (Mr P. Skogluml) has been advised that the inter-island match is to be played at Christchurch on July 26fch, and players chosen to play will be required to reach Christchurch on July 24th. Nominations for places in the North Island team must reach the New Zealand Union by July 7th. Latest advices from San Francisco are to the effect that the New Zealand team to visit America will be required to leave Wellington on September 12th, proceeding via the Cook Islands and Papeete. The return trip will be via Honolulu and Fiji, reaching Auckland on December 16th.
