General Putnik has informed M. Savoff that he- will meet any new advance of the Bulgarians with the entire Servian army. The Bulgarian eighth division has moved northwards to oppose Servian concentrations.

The Servian and Greek forces at Macedonia are estimated at 370,000. St. Petersburg, June 7.

The Government has informed Bulgaria and Servia that in the event of war Russia will saddle the responsibility on whichever combatant refuses to exhaust the resources of diplomacy. Russia will not remain an indifferent spectator of an internecine struggle. There must be some modification of the Serbo-Bulgarian treaty.
