PASSING ON AWARD INCREASES. [Per Press Association.] Hamilton, June 8. A meeting of coaohbuilders, wheelwrights, blacksmiths, and farriers, representing sixty-three firms, was held at T-T.,.% and considered the award which comes into force on July next, and which provides for an increase in wages of 39 per cent, to apprentices, 33 and a third per cent, to senior apprentices, and 10 per cent, to all men. The meeting agreed that a rise in prices all round must follow. The discussion foreshadowed a new scale of charges to meet the demand of the men.
