THE INDRABARAH.
SALVAGE OPERATIONS. [Peu Press Association.] Wellington, June 4. The Ternwhiti left Wellington this evening for the scene of the Indraharah stranding. She carries over 500 fathoms of 4-inch cable, a six-ton anchor, and other gear for salvage work. SHIFTING SEAWARDS. BRIGHTER PROSPECTS OF FLOTATION. Marton, June 5. Since 8 a.m. the Indrabarah appearsj to have shifted about a quarter of a I mile seawards. Opinions as to the; distance vary, but all agree that the: vessel has shifted a considerable difi-i tanco. Now there is every chance of her being successfully refloated. Wellington, June 5.
The Evening Post has received, hy pigeon post, a message, which was despatched at 9 o’clock this morning hy Captain Watchlin, stating that the Terawhiti, which left Wellington last night, arrived at the Indrabarah at daylight. The weather was suitable for salvage works, and the prospects for refloating were very favourable. The vessel had shifted seaward about 250 fathoms, and was in 17 feet of water and moving seaward steadily.
