The Coroner returned a verdict of “murder” against Joannie Baxter for shooting Bernard Hall.

A message on the 16th nit. stated that Jeannie Baxter, a fashionabledressed young widow, shot Bernard Hall, a well-known boxer and aeropianist, dead in his flat at Shaftesbury Avenue. The woman had been Hall’s mistress, and the day before he made a will in her favour. Baxter states that Hall asked her to shoot him.
