AMUSEMENTS.
lIIS MAJESTY’S PICTURES. The weather interfered to a great extent with the size of the audience at His Majesty’s Theatre last night but there are still two more opportunities for patrons to see the new programme, which was screened on Thursday evening for the first time. One can have nothing but admiration for that beautiful coloured scenic. ‘River Orme.” It is probably the finest scenic yet screened here, and a riumph for tire Gaumont manufacturers. “Margaret Catchpole” is a very popular “star” drama. Dressed .is a man ©he follows her lover to the penal settlement in Australia., \nd the story of her adventures is loth thrilling and exciting. An Ameri•an master-piece is presented in the “Cattle Rustlers,” a Wild West creation. The story is full of action, and the scene where the cattle stampede, and the rustler endeavours to carry away the Cattle King’s daughter, is particularly good. “A Day on Board a Spanish Cruiser,” and “Making a Bicycle” speak for themselves as interesting pictures, the industrial film being a very commendable presentment of a huge industry. “Juggling Mad,” “Tit for Tat,” and “His Father’s Choice,” are a trio of comical subjects, guaranteed
to amuse. To-night, the same hill will be given. To-morrow (Saturday) there will he the usual afternoon performance at 0.30, when a full programme will he screened. There is only one price to everyone, 6d.
