fire ‘Near) danneyirke. ■: : [Per Press Association.] [A j ,* : ' ,j ; Dannevirke, April 8. A six-roomed house, in the bankrupt estate of John O’Connor, at present being administered by the Deputy Official Assignee, was destroyed by fire at Umutaoroa on Sunday night. O’Connor and his family were absent and the son, on returning home from a Territorial parade, found the place in flames. The building was insured for £l5O, and the furniture (handed back to the bankrupt by creditors) for £IOO in the Victoria Office. The origin of the fire is unknown.
