Trotfc favours the English proposal to alter the rule of leg-before-wicket. He says it is time that bowlers were given a proper reward for their skill in beating the bat. WRESTLING. CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH. Kansas City, April 2. Gotcli retained the wrestling championship, defeating George Urich by two straight falls, tho first in 18 minutes 10 seconds, and the second in 5 minutes 35 seconds. DRAUGHTS. AUSTRALASIAN TOURNAMENT. Gore, April 2. The Australasian draughts championship was concluded late this af-| ternoon. The first game resulted in a win for Gardiner (Gore), and the second was drawn by Gardiner, who wins the title of champion, a silver cup to be held for one year, presented by the Wellington Working Men’s Club, and a cash prize of £2l. Hilliker won the second prize, £l3, and Calderwood tho third.
