The Senior-cadets’ camp near Liverpool is being held under strict prohibi-1 tion conditions. THE ATTACK OX A CONSUL

Chia has been committed for trial for wounding, with intent to murder, Yung Liang Hwang. The evidence showed that Chia was discharged from the Consulate employ by the Chinese Government, and intimated his intention to return to China. He sought to obtain from Yung Liang introductions to the Minister, and was annoyed at not obtaining them. After arrest, Chia declared that he intended to kill Hwang, because ho had abused him, and then kill himself.
